GASP wishes Christine Edwards a fond farewell as she steps down as Chair of the Board of Directors. Christine joined the GASP Board in 2015 and became Chair in 2016. We thank her for her calm and measured tenure in steering the organisation and know that she’ll keep this special place in her heart.

New Chair, David Palmer takes up the role after filling the position of Treasurer for the past two years. David is an Audit and Assurance Partner with BDO Hobart, and a Board Member of Ten Days on the Island.

We welcome Lewis Franks who has been appointed as a Director and Treasurer of GASP. Lewis is a qualified chartered accountant with experience in private client and business services. Lewis is currently working as an Analyst, Regional & Agribusiness for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

And lastly, we welcome Grace Williams as a Director. Grace is the Founder and Director of Citizen Tasmania, Executive Producer and Director of the documentary ‘Citizen’; was awarded the Tasmanian Human Rights Youth Award for coordinating Citizenship Spaces in Tasmania; is a Human Rights Educator developing education programs for schools and a Community Facilitator encouraging social caring and transformation through storytelling. Grace was a contributing writer to The People's Library (2018) and Growing Up African in Australia (2019). She currently presents a program on ABC Radio on Sunday afternoons while completing degrees in Law, Philosophy and Social Science.
